Shifting the pace of development with AI support – ITware’s AI4DEV webinar attracted great interest

On 27 May, we held a professional webinar entitled “Shifting the rhythm of development with AI support”, attended by 33 external experts. At the heart of the event was a question that concerns almost every development team today: how to turn AI into a real competitive advantage in software development.

While generative AI has transformed almost every area of business in recent years, the question for the developer community remains how to incorporate new tools into day-to-day work in a structured way that delivers measurable results.

During the webinar, we demonstrated through our own experiences, client projects and the results of the AI4DEV training that AI is no longer a technological curiosity, but a key tool in modern development processes.

AI tools are already here – the question is how to use them

In just a few years, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini and increasingly advanced agent-based development solutions have fundamentally changed the way software can be developed. But technology alone does not guarantee results.

Top AI development tools and platforms

In our experience, the challenge in most organisations is not the lack of tools, but how development teams can use them in a conscious and consistent way. A well-articulated prompt, a well-designed Copilot environment or an efficient agent workflow can make a significant difference to the speed and quality of the development process.

That is why the successful implementation of AI is no longer primarily a technological issue, but a question of knowledge and attitudes.

From this realisation AI4DEV was born

ITware has made artificial intelligence a strategic focus area since 2018. In recent years, through AI development projects, its own products and client work, it has become increasingly clear that developers need not only new tools, but also new methodologies and practical knowledge.

From AI4DEV was created in response to this challenge: a training programme not only for individual developers and development teams, but also specifically for companies and large enterprises. The programme can lead to efficiency gains of up to 30-50%, with a cumulative effect that is particularly impressive in larger departments and at the enterprise level.

The aim of the training is not only to familiarise participants with modern AI tools, but also to enable them to apply them throughout the entire software development lifecycle – from design, coding and testing to the creation of automated development processes.

AI for developers

Training that starts from real developer problems

The AI4DEV programme consists of three training days and an optional feedback phase.

The first day will focus on the technological basics: participants will learn how LLMs work, the principles of prompt engineering, the agentic development approach and the possibilities of using modern AI assistants.

The second day will focus entirely on practical exercises. Developers will work with GitHub Copilot and generative AI tools through real-world examples, while learning about refactoring, debugging, testing and practical application of modern AI-based development workflows.

The third day will focus on the participants’ own development challenges. The teams will work on their own projects while covering topics such as RAG systems, LLM integrations, Test Driven Development, TDD or automated development processes.

After the training, feedback interviews and evaluations will help to assess the impact of the acquired knowledge on the work of the developers and the functioning of the teams.

It’s not just about efficiency, it’s also about culture change

A key lesson from the webinar was that the introduction of a few new tools is not enough for the long-term success of AI in the enterprise. Real results are achieved in organisations where developers are active shapers of AI adoption, not just users.

Therefore, one of the key objectives of AI4DEV is to shape mindsets: to show how AI can become a natural part of the developer’s thinking.

As ITware, now in its 25th year of operation, has always believed:

“Hungarian creativity, Japanese precision.”

The same approach is reflected in our AI solutions and training: a combination of innovation and engineering discipline.

Next AI4DEV training dates

A discounted registration option is still available for webinar participants.
